"I’ve finally been able to fall into a routine to provide myself some structure. Against all odds, I’ve become a yoga person. I start my mornings with Yoga With Erin, then tackle another day in my non-Ultimate life.

"I work in an Alzheimer’s research lab interfacing with older adults to understand the aging brain and progression through dementia. The past several months have involved pushing some papers through publication, presenting at a virtual conference, and phasing in MRI data collection during a pandemic. "I spend my other hours leaning into a home gym, biking to parks, making kombucha, and doing virtual ab workouts with my teammates.

"I’ve also used this time to participate in lab, Rising, and Boston Mixed based racial equity groups to continue our self-education and action towards a more equitable health care, community, and sport. My ability to continue to work and stay healthy during this time has largely come from a life of social, financial, and racial privilege about which I am constantly learning its full extent."
